Historical Architecture

Something that most people don't know about me is that I am really really into historical architecture. It makes me all giddy to think about it. Its pretty nerdy I have been told.

I have been working on a project for a few years now and I thought I would finally post a couple of the photos. I absolutely love driving around and looking at old homes and buildings that might be historical and then researching their significance. So here are two from my project, both in Salt Lake City. In print form, they are printed as post cards with the info on the back, just to give you an idea of the look.

Unfortunately, this building was torn down just a few days ago, so I feel very fortunate to have taken this photo just a month ago, but very bummed that the building is gone. The back of the post card was obviously rewritten due to this.

  2. I love this post. The best part is where you say it makes you "all giddy to think about it." That made me smile inside and out. I love your saying that because it makes me all giddy too. I guess it is pretty nerdy to get so excited about historical architecture, but I've felt that way for decades. It's so nice to share it with you!
